FAQ’s

  • Equine Assisted Therapy is offered by a licensed professional counselor, and the horse is “assisting”. Equine Assisted Therapy is often recommended as a complement to traditional talk therapy. Equine Assisted Learning is provided by an experienced equine practitioner, and the focus is on instruction in developing a partnership with the horse, as well as self reflection. Both experiences have therapeutic benefits, and they are fun!

  • Kindle Hill is a nonprofit focused on Equine Assisted Therapy and Equine Assisted Learning. We work with horses on the ground. If you are seeking riding lessons, we will be happy to refer you to other suitable facilities.

  • We are open 7 days a week, by appointment only, for sessions and tours. Tours are approximately one hour. Session times vary by circumstances and range between 30 to 90 minutes.

  • We accept checks (Kindle Hill Foundation Charity), VENMO (@kindlehill) and cash.

Payment is due at the time of service.

  • Our programs are hands on! This means that you may begin by observing, but you will soon be interacting with horses directly, in a safe and supervised manner.

  • Please wear comfortable clothing, like jeans or sweatpants, and closed toe shoes, like sturdy sneakers or hiking boots. We recommend not wearing any jewelry that could get caught or snagged on anything. We are often outdoors, so also consider the weather and dress appropriately.

  • We have restrooms, ample parking, and Wi-Fi in limited locations.

  • We continue to operation in most weather conditions, as we have a large indoor arena and spacious barns. In extreme weather conditions, it is wise to check with us in advance about travel safety and general conditions.
