Saly A Glassman, President and Director, Kindle Hill Foundation

Saly was employed by Merrill Lynch (now Bank of America) for 39 years. In addition to her financial advisory skills, Saly has been known as an instructor, innovator, author, and problem solver. When her younger partners acquired her business, Saly had the opportunity to integrate her 60 year passion for horses with her goals of contributing to the mental health needs of Southeastern Pennsylvania. Saly established the 501c3 Kindle Hill Foundation (EIN 88-164415) along with an endowment, which is supplemented by grants and donations from the public. She is grateful for her collaboration with her partners, and the synergy they have as a mental health advocacy team. Saly originally studied psychology at Cornell University, and now holds certifications in the following: The Fundamentals of Natural Lifemanship, Harcum College’s Animal Assisted Therapy Program, Mediation Training by Good Shepherd, and Conflict Resolution from Cornell University. Saly has been a competitive equestrian for most of her life and is an avid conservationist and trail advocate. She enjoys riding her horses and her bikes!

Saly is an Associate Member of the Pennsylvania Chiefs of Police Association, and is certified in the following law enforcement trainings: ABLE (Active Bystandership for Law Enforcement), ICAT (Integrating Communications, Assessments and Tactics), Resiliency Training for Law Enforcement, and CISM (Critical Incident Stress Management).

Keira Fischetti, Equine Assisted Therapist & Administrative Strategist

Keira's academic journey commenced at Temple University, where she earned her Bachelor's Degree in Psychology. She furthered her education at Chestnut Hill College, specializing in Clinical and Counseling Psychology with a focus on Trauma Studies, culminating in the achievement of her Master's Degree. Drawing upon the foundation of a trauma-informed, compassionate, and person-centered approach, Keira has cultivated extensive expertise in providing mental health support to individuals navigating trauma, coping with past victimizations, and confronting various clinical challenges. Her dedicated efforts primarily focus on empowering adults and older adolescents, reflecting her profound commitment to making a transformative and positive difference in their lives.

Beyond her professional endeavors, Keira's connection with horses has been a lifelong passion. Growing up surrounded by these majestic creatures, she experienced firsthand their healing power. Following eight successful years in the corporate world, Keira made a life-changing decision to merge her career path with her deep-rooted love for horses, and lifelong life desire to bring healing to those in need.

In her current role at Kindle Hill Foundation, Keira offers Equine Assisted Therapy to individual clients and serves as an instructor for our law enforcement and corporate team building training sessions. Keira is certified in the following law enforcement trainings: ABLE (Active Bystandership for Law Enforcement), ICAT (Integrating Communications, Assessments and Tactics), and Resiliency Training for Law Enforcement. In addition, Keira assists the foundation with administrative strategy, social media, and team management.

In her spare time, Keira enjoys cross-country horse rides with her colleagues, and spending time with her family and friends, and of course, the horses!

Alyssa Friedenberg, Equine Specialist & Equine Assisted Instructor

Alyssa is a 2021 summa cum laude graduate of Delaware Valley College, where she achieved her degree in equine business management. Alyssa is certified in Animal Assisted Therapy through Harcum College and has completed the training for The Fundamentals of EAGALA Model Practice. Alyssa is now pursuing a Master’s Degree in Counseling at Arcadia University with concentrations in both Children and Adolescents, and Autism Spectrum Disorders.

Alyssa has been riding and working with horses for over a decade. She spent two years on the Del Val IHSA team, and currently competes individually with her own special horse, “Kali”. Alyssa loves working with children and adolescents, and she is passionate about helping young people learn to grow, as they explore the world of horses.

Alyssa provides Equine-Assisted Learning for individual clients, and is an instructor for our law enforcement and corporate team building training sessions. Alyssa is certified in the following law enforcement trainings: ABLE (Active Bystandership for Law Enforcement), ICAT (Integrating Communications, Assessments and Tactics), and Resiliency Training for Law Enforcement.

Sean Homsher, Licensed Professional Counselor

After a rewarding career of over 20 years in sports and entertainment camera operation, which included Emmy awards, Olympic Games, and various sports championships, Sean turned his professional focus to his goals of helping others and making a positive change in the world. He earned a Master’s Degree in School Counseling and Mental Health Therapy from the University of Pennsylvania Graduate School. He wrote a book about kindness, became a mobile counselor, and completed the requirements to be certified as a Licensed Professional Counselor in Pennsylvania. Sean is also credentialed as an EAGALA Mental Health Professional and NBCC Nationally Certified Counselor.

Leslie Molinari, Equine Specialist

In her 50+ year career with horses, Leslie has been an accomplished rider, leading thoroughbred racehorse trainer, and successful show barn owner. Her skills have included rehabilitation and re-homing for retired racehorses and developing new careers for horses who can contribute to client educational and therapeutic experiences. She is also EAGALA credentialed. Leslie has expanded her credentials to include partnering with her husband Sean, in a successful equine assisted learning and equine assisted therapy practice. Her beaming smile and warm disposition are instantly recognizable, and she is loved by all the horses, dogs, cats and people who have been fortunate to connect with her.

Margaret “Peg” Collins, Assistant Instructor

For Peg, it all started in Charleston, West Virginia, with a Shetland pony, when she was 8 years old. As Peg fondly says, “If you want to keep going after that, you must really be hooked!” Peg’s vast equestrian experience ranges from riding on the high school team, to showing, fox hunting, and eventing. She received her degree in Psychology from Hollins College, and went on to a successful business career in Supervisory Customer Service for Piedmont Airlines, and Small Business Healthcare with Emerson Reid. She successfully completed all courses and received passing grades for a Professional Certificate in Race, Gender and Workplace Equity from CatalystX. Peg enthusiastically enjoys the outdoors, and you can often find her hiking and clearing our beloved local trails. Peg helps to coordinate our volunteers, and she assists with program instruction. She is a vital part of our Kindle Hill team!

Ira S Berman, Director, Kindle Hill Foundation

Ira (Saly’s husband) is a critical member of the Kindle Hill team! He is easy to spot, mowing with the brush hog behind the large tractor, or fertilizing the fields, or repairing fences and equipment. He can fix or move just about anything, and he does it with ease and an upbeat style that is inspirational to the rest of us. On his days “off,” from the activities at Kindle Hill, Ira is active in the businesses of packaging and self-storage. He is a cycling enthusiast and enjoys an active life in the outdoors.

Noah Gladish, Program and Property Assistant

Noah is a 2022 graduate of Wissahickon High School, and he is a huge asset to us here at Kindle Hill!  Noah helps with the care of the property, which includes: mowing and weed whacking, as well as repairing fences. He also assists with grooming and turning out our horses and giving them extra attention (and treats!). Noah is a fixture during our law enforcement and corporate equine assisted training programs, always ready to help with a pitchfork, broom, or lead rope. In his spare time, Noah enjoys fishing and skiing.

Chloe, Barn Cat

Meet Chloe, our resident mouser in charge of security here at Kindle Hill. Chloe loves to be greeted by guests, and she especially enjoys any opportunity to settle in an available lap for some snuggles.
